April 2023 in Review

,

Hey travellers!

Before I begin, I want to thank you for supporting this project. I’m learning new things every day and trying different strategies to find how to keep up high-quality work.

April was an interesting month. Life ended up keeping me grounded for a while, but I still ended up going to South Australia and exploring areas in relation to colonial beginnings to Australia.

I also did a lot of research into David Unaipon and this led me down a rabbithole of Aboriginal culture and history, especially given the current issues in Australian politics. This was a big research month, not necessarily by my choosing, but you have to roll with the punches!

21st Century Jacobsweg: Church at Raukkan, South Australia.

I will continue my work in researching the first European settlement and Aboriginal history. Of course, if I can get a moment or two to visit points of interest!

My attempts at writing small stories keeps becoming deep dives into the subject matter – I keep finding the entire story interesting! Perhaps shortform writing isn’t my thing…Perhaps I can write longform about seemingly innocuous subjects – I’ve impressed myself with my ability to do that so far, so let’s see where that goes!

Posts Written this Month

I’ve been working hard to produce stories you’ll find interesting and insightful. The posts written for April are:

More stories coming in May – stay tuned!

21st Century Jacobsweg: Cape De Bouedic, Kangaroo Island.

Be sure to check out my YouTube channel. There, I work and play with ideas to do with history. It’s more philosophical in nature, but there’s the occasional story from my past I want to tell. The main objective is to stimulate conversation and give you something to think about. No right or wrong – that’s the wrong way to go about things!
